How we create and maintain our content
BindLedger publishes guides, carrier mappings, blog posts, and readiness methodology documentation. This page explains how that content is created, reviewed, updated, and corrected.
Content sources and authorship
All BindLedger content is authored or reviewed by people with direct experience in cyber insurance brokerage, security operations, or compliance workflows. We do not publish content from anonymous contributors or unvetted guest authors.
Where we use AI-assisted drafting tools, all output is reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by a human before publication. AI tools are never the sole author of published content. We disclose AI assistance when it plays a material role in content creation.
Blog posts
Written by BindLedger team members with domain expertise in cyber insurance, security posture assessment, or compliance. Each post is reviewed before publication for accuracy, clarity, and relevance.
Evidence collection guides
Created from direct experience with carrier applications and security tooling. Each guide is tested against the actual export workflows described (e.g., Microsoft 365 admin console, CrowdStrike dashboard) and updated when vendor interfaces change.
Carrier mappings
Derived from publicly available carrier application forms and supplements. Mappings are verified against the most recent form versions available to us and updated when carriers release new versions.
Accuracy and fact-checking
We hold our content to a factual accuracy standard. Claims about carrier requirements are backed by specific form versions. Technical claims about security controls are verified against vendor documentation or direct testing. Statistics and market data include source attribution.
When we are uncertain about a claim, we say so explicitly. We do not present inference as fact. Where our methodology has known limitations, we document them on our methodology page.
Updates and corrections
Cyber insurance is a fast-moving space. Carriers update their applications, security vendors change their interfaces, and regulatory requirements shift. We review published content on a regular cadence and update it when the underlying facts change.
When we discover an error in published content, we correct it promptly and note the correction in the content where the change is material. We do not silently alter published claims. Our carrier form updates feed tracks when carrier applications change, and those changes trigger reviews of related guides and mappings.
Blog posts
Updated when referenced products, features, or carrier forms change. Material corrections are noted at the top of the post.
Guides
Reviewed when the underlying vendor interface or carrier form changes. Screenshots and step-by-step instructions are re-verified against current versions.
Carrier mappings
Updated when carriers release new form versions. Our form-tracking system detects changes automatically and flags mappings for review.
Editorial independence
BindLedger does not accept paid placements, sponsored content, or affiliate-driven recommendations in its editorial content. When we mention specific carriers, vendors, or tools, it is because they are relevant to the topic — not because of a commercial relationship. We are not a broker and do not receive commissions from carrier placements.
Our readiness checks and carrier mappings are based on what carriers actually ask, not on what any partner or advertiser wants us to promote.
What our content is not
BindLedger content is informational. It is not insurance advice, legal counsel, or a substitute for professional underwriting judgment. Our readiness checks indicate whether observable controls match what carriers typically ask — they do not guarantee coverage, pricing, or approval. See our about page for a full description of what we do and what we don't do.
Report an error
If you find an error in any BindLedger content — an outdated carrier mapping, an incorrect guide step, or a factual claim that needs correction — please let us know. We take accuracy seriously and will investigate promptly.
